Algemeen Dagblad, 7 May 2010: 'Lawsuit over storage of fingerprint citizens'

"The foundation Privacy First is taking court action to stop the storage of fingerprints of citizens who need a new passport. According to the foundation, it violates privacy laws. Along with 22 citizens who refuse to give their fingerprints, the foundation has sued the state, made Privacy First announced yesterday. The fingerprint is supposed to deter passport and identity fraud, but opponents fear the data from the database will serve to start fighting crime, especially terrorism."
