EenVandaag, 28 October 2014: interview with Privacy First on tax authorities' use of ANPR cameras

It was recently announced that the Inland Revenue was massively collecting police data from ANPR cameras (Automatic number plate recognition) above highways is used to detect tax fraudsters. The Inland Revenue has entered into a secret covenant (agreement) with the police for this purpose. This automatically puts every motorist in the Tax Authority's sights. The Tax Authority can store ANPR data for years, much longer than is legally possible for the police. ANPR data that they themselves should have long since deleted can therefore be requested from the Tax Office by the police.
