It is now becoming commonplace throughout the Netherlands: public camera surveillance. Cameras with face recognition, with motion detection and even with built-in microphones. All for "security". Whose security? The safety of the security industry's stock prices? The security of mind of politicians with security psychosis? In the early morning of Wednesday 9 May last, Privacy First's Vincent Böhre was interviewed by youth broadcaster FunX Radio interviewed about camera surveillance and the extent to which it affects our privacy.
