Sensor for fingerprint sees life

Biometrics protects against criminal manipulation Hamburg-based firm Dermalog has created a sensor for fingerprint recognition. In itself, nothing new, but this device has an additional function, namely detecting 'life' in the finger. This should prevent crooks trying to log in with a replica finger or a severed finger.
