"The House of Representatives is majority against the central storage of fingerprints. VVD and PvdA withdraw their support for central storage. Minister Donner is considering his position.

The SP, D66 and GroenLinks were already against it, as was the Party for the Animals. The Christian Union also no longer supports the central storage of fingerprints. The SGP and PVV have not yet taken a final position (...).

This week, the fingerprint database lawsuit filed by Privacy First against the Dutch state was nipped in the bud. Privacy First and 21 individual complainants were declared inadmissible. As a result, the case was not heard substantively. According to Privacy First, judicial authorities are "ping-ponging" with citizens' interests. (...)"
