Spitsnieuws.nl, Nov 6, 2013: 'Ronald Plasterk sued over NSA'

"Interior Minister Ronald Plasterk may answer to the court in The Hague on 27 November for his policies on data use. Under the banner Citizens against the State, De Nederlandse Vereninging voor Journalisten (NVJ), lawyers' club NVSA, Stichting Privacy First and the Internet Society have started proceedings against the state, the NVJ site reports.

The complainants find it unacceptable for intelligence agencies to use personal data that they should not even have collected under the law. (...)

With their case, the parties want to put an end to what they call "money laundering" of illegally obtained data and furthermore oblige the State to inform people when their data is used."
