Vincent Böhre, director and lawyer

Mr Vincent Böhre (CIPP/E) studied international & European law and Dutch law at the University of Amsterdam. During his studies he worked, among other things, as a researcher at the law firm Loyens & Loeff. He then worked at Amnesty International and, on behalf of the Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR), conducted research concerning the Dutch biometric passport. In the field of the right to privacy and protection of personal data, he was active for many years at the Dutch Lawyers Committee for Human Rights (NJCM). In addition, he was chairman of the Civil Rights Protection Platform. Since November 2010, he has been director and legal counsel of Privacy First.
