Privacy Platform: Targeted Surveillance - Can security and privacy be reconciled?

Targeted surveillance instead of mass surveillance is the right way forward. On 31 May 2017, an extremely informative and convincing panel debate took place in the European Parliament. Participating in the debate were the following experts: Sophie in 't Veld (MEP), Julian King (European Commission foreign and security policy), Bill Binney (former NSA technical director), Jan van Oort (chief engineer Kivu Technologies) and Federico Fabbrini (professor of law, Dublin City University).
