Registration Dutch Privacy Awards 2027 open!
On 28 January 2027 (European Privacy Day), the Privacy First Foundation will again organise the presentation of the annual Dutch Privacy Awards!
Privacy First cordially invites potential candidates to apply for these prestigious Awards. Sponsors are also very welcome. Do you know someone who deserves a nomination? Then be sure to apply for that organisation!
Dutch Privacy Awards
Every year, Privacy First organises in conjunction with ECP | Platform for the Information Society during the National Privacy Conference the presentation of the Dutch Privacy Awards. A professional expert jury considers privacy-aware ideas, solutions and initiatives from companies, governments and other organisations that have privacy and information protection high on their agenda.
The 2026 winners were UMC Utrecht & Roseman Labs, Stichting Keurmerk Ritregistratiesystemen, TNO, NFI & SURF and the National innovation centre privacy-enhancing technologies (Nicpet). At the Privacy Awards website you will find an overview of all nominees and winners since 2018. Piece by piece, they form the foundation and building blocks for a privacy-friendly society.
Jury
The Privacy Awards jury consists of independent privacy experts: Sulaika Duijsings-Mahangi (jury chair), Koen Versmissen, Marlon Domingus, Sah Farooq, Jan Rinia, Kenneth Sleijpen and Mabel de Vries. Registration
The jury nominates entries in the following categories:
- Technology
- Application
- Raising awareness
There is also the possibility of a Incentive Award.
Submissions will be assessed against the following criteria, among others:
- social impact
- innovative capacity
- future-proofing.
Report your initiative to us! Who knows, you might be among the nominees for the next edition, and stand on the podium with a trophy in your hands on 28 January 2027.
