Dagblad Zaanstreek, 15 August 2015: 'Parking pass should stay for those who want it'

"With visitor parking permits, Zaanstad is violating basic human rights. Say SP, GroenLinks and POV. The parties want the old system with parking permits to return for those who want them. The permit is applied for and issued digitally in the districts where residents' parking applies. The parties consider this a violation of privacy. Previously, visitors used scratch cards. "Citizens have a right to anonymity in public spaces," they quote Privacy First Foundation. Moreover, many people cannot use them.

SP, Green Left and POV want an alternative. They also want to know whether parking data will be stored and where it will be kept."
