Vacancy: knowledge and communication expert Internet of Things (PrivacyWijzer)

You will probably have seen it already: our articles around Connected Cars and our new PrivacyWijzer project page www.privacyfirst.nl/privacywijzer. This project focuses on the privacy aspects of the Internet of Things, including Smart Home products, Wearables and Smart Cities. The common thread for Privacy First in this is: what happens to our personal data in an increasingly digitised and interconnected world? What data is being processed and is this done fairly and transparently? What do citizens know and can they still make privacy-conscious choices?

Who we are looking for:

Privacy First is looking for a person who already has affinity and demonstrable (technical, legal and/or scientific) knowledge in this field, is easy with the pen, knows how to reach a broad target group and is not afraid to do spokesmanship if asked. Someone who sees and pursues opportunities towards the media (we have our own channels) and in our knowledge network. Someone who actively follows current affairs on this topic, who can quickly articulate current developments and who can work both independently and as part of a team.

If you also have knowledge of AI, a proactive attitude in fundraising or bring a relevant network, that is a plus.

Do you think you are that expert? Contact us at info@privacyfirst.nl quoting this vacancy and sending a short motivation and CV.

Employment or self-employment?

This project will be expanded upon completion or simultaneously with our ongoing project on Connected Cars. There will be a short voluntary probationary period during which you will be inducted and to demonstrate cooperation and your quality. A position will become vacant at the end of this year (or earlier by mutual agreement). This can be filled on an employment or self-employed basis.

Volunteer vacancy: fundraising and corporate sponsorship

Privacy First Foundation is an organisation that has been standing up for everyone's right to privacy for 15 years. As an ANBI, we depend on gifts, donations, third-party sponsorships and the loyal efforts of volunteers. As a volunteer, you will support the board in growing our funds and sponsors, as well as connecting with our donors.

In this, you have a proactive attitude, are a networker and a go-getter. Bringing your own network is an advantage.

Upon proven suitability, which shows up financially, this volunteer position could potentially be in a based on no cure no pay paid position to be converted.

Volunteer vacancy: critical researcher with a fluent pen

Privacy First regularly has delineated research jobs that can be done in preparation for a roundtable discussion (lobby or expert research), a spokesperson interview or a critical article. Given the topical issues that Privacy First has to respond to quickly, facts need to be correct or a good assessment needs to be made so that strategically sound choices can be made. No research assignment is the same, as we deal with different privacy issues every day.

For this, we are looking for several volunteers, who we can quickly engage for this purpose. You have affinity with and knowledge or experience in at least one of our focus areas:

  • Surveillance
  • Internet of Things & AI
  • Medical privacy
  • Financial privacy
  • Children / education & privacy.

With our volunteers, we work in small expert teams, share knowledge and regularly spar on topical issues, so that we arrive at the right answers quickly and efficiently.
